PLEASE NOTE>>>>>>> We are going to make a few hundred sandwiches instead of our normal 3000-7000 and we are going to donate our stock of peanut butter and jelly to a South Florida Food Bank. We are asking that people bring only Peanut Butter and Jelly, NO BREAD. We will supply all of the bread.
The Peanut Butter Plan,...it's simple! We'll make PBJ's and pass them out to people in need in the downtown Denver area. You are invited, whether you are familiar with the homeless issue in Colorado, or not! Please step out of your comfort zone and make a difference to thousands of homeless people on November 19th.
In 2016, we made over 50,000 sandwiches to give away to hungry people in Denver! So thankful to the volunteers who make this happen!
In order to sustain this effort PB&J donations are necessary for all volunteers.....
THE DONATIONS: Each Peanut Butter Plan participant will be asked to donate one jar of Peanut Butter and two jars of Jelly, plus one or more loafs of bread.
Hey! If you can bring a friend or your family or club members or your team....that is great too!
After the PBJ's are made (at about 12:00), we will form carpools to the Denver Rescue Mission neighborhood, head out to find the homeless, and hand out the sandwiches. After we have given food to many of the people we find on the streets and in the parks, we will donate any left over food to Urban Peaks, Volunteers of America locations, Samaritan House and/or other agencies in need.
**Children of all ages are welcome to join in fun when we make a temporary PBJ production line; HOWEVER, when we go out to distribute the PBJ's we would not recommend bringing any young children. Use your own discretion.
Thanks a million to sponsors and helpers!!!!!!!:
